The big TV

Turning it on

  • The top-left button on the black remote turns the TV on and off.
  • The other black remote rotates and adjusts the TV position if you want to angle it.
All streaming runs through the PS5 controller. Grab it, hit the PlayStation button, and you're in.

Using the PS5, step by step

Never used one? No stress, it's easier than it looks.

    Wake it up

    Press the PlayStation button (the logo) in the middle of the controller. The console beeps and the TV kicks on.

    Move around

    Use the left stick or the D-pad to move. The app icons sit along the top row.

  3. 3

    Open an app

    Scroll to Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Tubi or Prime Video and press X to open it.

  4. 4

    Browse and play

    D-pad or stick to browse, X to select, O to go back. The touchpad in the middle pauses and plays.

    Turn it all off

    Hold the PS button for 2 seconds, choose Turn Off PS5, then use the top-left button on the black remote to switch off the TV.

Controller not responding? Tap the PS button once to wake it. The charging cable lives right by the TV.

  • Press the power button (bottom left) to turn it on and off.
  • Hit the Netflix or YouTube buttons for one-touch access.
  • Press the home button (the little house) to see every app, including Disney+ and Tubi.

Around the house

  • Lock the back door when you head out, since Millie is clever enough to open it.
  • Need the microwave? Plug it in next to the kettle, there's a power point right there.
  • The neighbours are all lovely, so feel free to say hi over the fence.
  • When you leave for good, just leave the key inside the house. That's it.

Meet Millie

Millie is the best. She'll jump up and lick your face the moment she meets you, but she settles down fast and lives for a cuddle on the couch.

When you're home

Happiest inside with you, curled up for a cuddle.

When you're out

Perfectly content out in the backyard until you're back.

Millie sleeps inside at night.

Her daily routine

  • Walk her once a day. She'll love you for it.
  • Breakfast: a bowl of dry food.
  • Dinner: dry food plus a little tin of meat.

Common questions

Can I help myself to food and drinks?
Absolutely, please do. Anything in the cupboard or the fridge is yours, no need to ask and no need to replace it. Make yourself at home.
Where do I plug in the microwave?
There's a power point right next to the kettle. Plug it in there whenever you need it.
What do I do when I leave?
Easy. Make sure Millie is sorted, lock the back door, and pop the key inside the house on your way out. That's the whole list.
What if something goes wrong?
Message or call us anytime, day or night, truly. If it's about Millie and it's urgent, McIntyre Vets on Sales Yard Road will look after her.
Are the neighbours friendly?
The best. Every one of them is lovely, so don't be shy about saying hello over the fence.
Where does Millie sleep?
She sleeps inside at night. During the day she's happy inside with you when you're home, and out in the backyard when you're out.
What streaming services are available?
Netflix, Disney+, Tubi, YouTube and Prime Video, all of it. The only one we don't have is Stan. The lounge TV runs through the PS5; the bedroom TV uses the little white Google TV remote.
How do I lock up?
Lock the back door whenever you head out, since Millie is clever enough to open it. When you go for good, the key goes inside the house.
